Snakes are a common reptile found all over the world. Snakes are not pest . They are very important in the ecological chain & are protected under Indian Wild Life (Protection) Act 1972, Under schedule I, II & IV.
India is home to a large number of snakes, most of them are harmless to us. About 280 snake species belonging to 11 families are found in India. They are found in all types of habitats. Out of 280 species, 50 are significantly venomous. (Poison – need to be ingested. Venom – need to be Injected). Snakes occur in a large variety of colors, ranging from dull to brilliant hues with striking patterns. Snakes that have dull coloring use it for camouflage, while those are brightly coloured are usually venomous. They use their bright colors to warn predators to stay off.
They are extremely shy animals, always prefer to live and move in protected surroundings. They are protected species; we do not catch snakes and whenever possible we should strive to prevent them from entering into your facility.
NOTE : In emergency situations, must not even try to identify a snake just follow one thumb rule, Maintain a safe distance from a snake and stay away from its striking range, which is approximately one third of the total body length of the snake in your proximity.

➢ Not allowing the weed growth in the surrounding area of the property ➢ Use of wet gunny bags during summer season ➢ Daily removal &effective disposal of leaflitter, thickets ➢ Cut down heavy bushes & trim branches ➢ Entry-reducing the gaps between doors & windows ➢ Preventing dumping of unused, unwanted material inside or externally along the periphery of structures or on the property ➢ First Aid in case of emergency
